Save the Children in Indonesia is changing for the better. We’ve begun to build a national organization that aims to be a strong, local, and self-sustaining voice for children in Indonesia. To this end, SC Indonesia has been designated as a “Prospect Member”. As ‘Prospect Member’ Indonesia has been identified as part of the next way of new member development, which focuses on strengthening and localizing our voice for children in strategic middle income countries. Indonesia has been authorized by member ballot to start fundraising locally as a first step towards building a financially sustainable local organization. Future work will also involve developing a strong local governance structure and building key partnerships with local government, the private sector, local civil society among others. Success of the pilot phase will set the Indonesia on a pathway to full membership. We are currently seeking to fill the following position:

Health and Nutrition Officer

1 (one) position based in Palu, Central Sulawesi


The Project officer will be responsible for coordination and timely implementation of YSTC nutrition activities in an assigned geographical area under their designated Field Office. This will include providing supportive supervision, monitoring and capacity building to Puskesmas staff and community workers, as required. Project Officers will also be response to manage programme data for their sites.



  • Bachelors University Degree or equivalent in a relevant field preferable nutritionist, nurse, midwife, or public health
  • At least 1-2 years’ experience working on nutrition or health programmes especially in emergency response -Central Sulawesi
  • Experience in implementing programmes in collaboration with local health systems and governments
  • Demonstrated experience in providing mentoring or coaching to community people 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in Bahasa or local language
  • Willingness to work in rural and remote areas
  • Basic computer skills


  • Previous experience working with NGOs desirable
  • Experience working in projects including infant and young child feeding or breastfeeding desirable

10th Asia Pacific Conference on Reproductive and Sexual Health Rights “SRHR in Asia Pacific: 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Vision and 2020 Realities”

APCRSHR10 Cambodia will be hosted in SIEM REAP, CAMBODIA MAY 26-29, 2020.

Hosted by the Reproductive Health Association of Cambodia (RHAC), an indigenous Cambodian NGO with over two decades of experience in service provision, health education, community programs, and advocacy.

APCRSHR is the largest regional biennial gathering of experts and practitioners working in sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) in the Asia Pacific, including representatives of civil society, youth networks, academia, government, media, private firms, and development partners.

The conference will explore the theme SRHR in Asia Pacific: 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Vision and 2020 Realities through six main tracks:

The conference is organized as a joint collaboration between a National Steering Committee and an International Steering Committee featuring leading national and international organizations, educational institutions, advocacy and grassroots organizations, and experts in the field of SRHR, and a Youth Steering Committee of emerging leaders and advocates.

The conference will be held in Siem Reap, a premiere global tourism destination. Every year, more than two million people travel to the charming northern city to visit Angkor Wat, a treasured UNESCO World Heritage Site and Guinness World Record holder as the largest religious structure ever built. Siem Reap also boasts a flourishing culinary scene, bustling nightlife, a variety of artistic and cultural activities, a convenient, well-connected international airport, and a range of accommodation options, including budget-friendly hostels and guest houses, mid-range boutique hotels, and several luxury resorts.

Rutgers WPF Indonesia in collaborates with Consortium: Champion of Family Planning and Reproductive Health Indonesia, which is a consortium consisting of: Pusat Kespro UGM, LDFEUI, FKMUI, YKP, PKBI, Rutgers, UNFPA, Yayasan Cipta, JHCCP, and Thinkwell. will held an International Conference on Indonesia Family Planning and Reproductive Health (ICIFPRH). The main theme of conference is: Role of Family Planning in Reducing Maternal Death and Increasing Family Wellbeing.

The International Conference on Indonesia Family Planning and Reproductive Health (ICIFPRH) will discuss issues surrounding FP and RH in reducing maternal mortality and also improve family wellbeing. In this conference, there will be discussion on concepts, policies, programs and various lessons learned at global, national and sub-national levels by various stakeholders. This conference is the first conference that is expected to be held every two years with different themes. The results of the conference are expected to be used as a basis for policy making by the government and other stakeholders. Besides that, the papers presented at the conference are also expected to be sought by scientific committees to be published in scientific journals and also presented in the upcoming International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP) 2020.

Currently RutgersWPF Indonesia is looking for enthusiastic candidates for the following temporary position. We are interested in candidates with experience in working on SRHR issues and who are available on short notice:

Title                   : Conference Coordinator 1 (one) position

Working Period : 4 months ( May – September 2019)

Location             : Based in Jakarta

Working Hours  : Office Working Hours [ 5 days a week 08:30 – 17:30 ]


Core Tasks :

  1. Ensure that all the required administrative tasks and logistics associated with the events are carried out successfully including prepare pre-conference main conference.
  2. Prepare, send out and confirm invitations for all ICIFPRH delegates and staff, coordinate with steering committee.
  3. Familiar working with vendor / event organizer production of event materials (leaflet/flyer, short film, policy brief, etc).
  4. Prepare for registration fee, accommodation, airfare, per diem, and local transport for Participants to attend ICIFPRH.
  5. Regular update on the progress status to the consortium consisting of: Pusat Kespro UGM, LDFEUI, FKMUI, YKP, PKBI, Rutgers, UNFPA, JHCCP, and  Thinkwelland keep    all relevant parties informed on issues and challenges face for further solution/decision.
  6. Organize, document and follow up on planning meetings, including follow up on to-do list and Handle all communication and correspondence on the conference.
  7. To be the Focal Point during the event, for all matters related to all side and main events and press and coordinate with partners in Jogjakarta.
  8. To Conduct coordination meeting with all stakeholder and steering committee
  9. Submitted Final Report to consortium / Donor organization.



  1. Maximum age of 30 years.
  2. Able to work with minimum supervision and team.
  3. Having a good knowledge and awareness about sexual and reproductive health and reproductive rights issues especially on sexuality, gender and human rights.
  4. Having working experiences on national and international conference.
  5. Having working experiences in International/National NGO, UN agency, or Community Organizing.
  6. Excellent in interpersonal communication.
  7. Detail oriented, reliable, self-motivated and can work well with many different stakeholder.
  8. Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
  9. Willing to work mobile and during weekend.
  10. Must be able to work with deadlines and extremely well organized.

The approved Emergency Response Plan (ERP)  ”Meeting The Spesific Needs of Girls and Boys in the Tsunami Affected Areas in Central Sulawesi  Island” is for 11 months period and will focusing on GIRLS AND BOYS PROTECTION AND EDUCATION IN EMERGENCIES. YPII will be committed to better understand the varied needs of girls and boys, men and women, and have those needs and suggestion for responding as a core component to any sectors design and implementation. In addition, YPII’s response will be committed to reaching the most vulnerable families by emphasizing the needs of women and girls. Recognizing that women and girls are vulnerable and disproportionately suffer from various forms of abuse and exploitation, the program will seek to actively engage them in program design, planning, implementation, and monitoring.

Dimensions of Role: 

Financial measures or statistics relevant to post such as budget; list of direct and indirect reports Responsible to establish monitoring framework and database of project, implementation and monitoring evaluation at the District.  Will proactively support Project Manager (PM) to measuring progress, achievement, best practices, lesson learned as well as gaps and challenges.

Typical Responsibilities

Responsible for establishing high quality monitoring and evaluation project Contribute to the design and implementation of Project MER Plan, including suggesting revisions and refinement; Assist in developing survey instruments and methodology including baseline survey, endline survey and any other instrument that which was relevant to the Project; Analyze and summarize performance monitoring data on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for project in updates and reports; Participate in presentation of such updates and reports to project management, government at district and provincial level and the local implementing partner of project; Oversee the collection, analysis, and management of Project related performance data; Ensure that all data collected and analyzed by the local implementing partner meets minimum quality standards according to Plan standards of data quality; Lead workshops/training for project team, and local implementing partner regarding indicator definitions, acceptable means of verification refer to the logframe document; Supports other DRM projects to improve monitoring & evaluation quality that provided by each project holders regularly

Communication and reporting Lead in monitoring to target project location in 2 district of Central Sulawesi, and facilitate discussion and coordination with partner; Responsible for post distribution monitoring and child-friendly feedback mechanism in place including its process and analysis; Maintain communication with all project team on monitoring result and follow up action; Monitor project progress (outcomes and results) ; Support PM to prepare progress reports for internal Plan use to DRM NPM in quarterly basis and/or other basis if needed; Support PM to prepare informative and high quality donor reports; Collaborate with communications team on development project documentation; Communicate about the program with outside parties; Represent Plan in relevant cluster / network meeting at district level

Qualifications for this position  Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Statistic, Public Health, Social, Training, or related field.

Core competencies: Skills:At least 2 years working with international NGOs or international organizations; At least 2 years experience in monitoring and evaluation task; Understanding of donor environment and ability to raise funds and support; Ability and willingness to undertake frequent travel; Ability to deploy at short notice; Excellent communication skills (verbal and written); strong negotiation and facilitation skills; Ability to work to tight deadlines, under pressure and to multi-task; Ability to work in insecure and difficult environments  Understand well on program cycle: planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating development projects Commitment to child rights and CCCD implementation Experience in conducting studies, data analysis and report-writing
